Le Potager extraordinaire, a world to explore
Situated 40 minutes from Les Préveils campsite, the Potager Extraordinaire is a real place of botanical and vegetable discoveries, each more incredible than the last, a place where plants are passed on and preserved, right in the heart of the Vendée.
Gardening enthusiasts come here to discover growing techniques and a wide variety of food plants. The centre's educational and playful vocation is reflected in its work to promote social integration, seed conservation, public awareness and local initiatives.
Beauty, discoveries, laughter, gourmet delights: the vegetable garden offers an opportunity for pleasure to be shared with family and friends.
Discover the 1001 secrets of bee life!
The Vendée is a haven for bees, thanks to its varied landscapes and rich, diverse flora. These little workers play an essential role in pollinating crops and preserving biodiversity.
Guided tours and educational workshops give young and old alike the chance to observe the life of bees at close quarters, understand their vital role and taste local honeys, the real treasures of the Vendée.
30 minutes from the campsite, La Finfarine madness, is a park where beekeepers await you with activities and immersive, interactive tours over 10 hectares of woodland. Prepare to be amazed!

Nature reserves, an escape from nature
In addition to its Atlantic coastline, the Vendée is home to several Nature Reserves, demarcated areas created to protect a remarkable natural (biological and geological) heritage through appropriate regulations that take account of the local context.
Just a short walk from our campsite, the National Nature Reserve ‘Michel Brosselin’ offers guided tours, themed events and discovery days. It boasts one of the finest observatories in France.
Walking and cycling trails, on the paths of nature
The Vendée is a fairly flat area that lends itself well to gentle hiking.
The paths along the Vendée coast offer some magnificent walks between land and sea. You can walk along long beaches as far as the eye can see, through pine forests or along the steep cliffs of the coast. The GR8 crosses the national forests of the Pays de Monts and Olonne, while always staying close to the ocean.
La Faute-sur-Mer is a sandy peninsula in constant morphological evolution. Bordered on one side by the river Lay and on the other by the ocean for more than 10 km, you'll walk with your nose in the wind and your mind contemplative.
